The recent Car Rally was claimed to be a success by the ANZA Committee.

There was sufficient positive reaction to suggest we should reintroduce this event as part of our regular itinerary.

We were fortunate to have Johann von Bargen (The East Coast Radio Traffic Guy and his wife Barbara) to plan and adjudicate the rally. Preparing car rallys for corporate businesses is one of Johann's many business talents that includes Anti Highjacking and Defensive Driving courses for businesses and social groups.

Our relationship with The Natal Mounted Rifles and The Boot and Spur club enabled us to use their facilities as the 'secret' destination venue for the rally. Nic Kotze the club manager waived the usual hiring fee knowing that proceeds would be going to this years nominated charity 'Guide Dogs for the Blind'.

There was a glitch that I accept blame for in that I misplaced a marker pen that was capable of completing the the award certificates for the top three rally teams.

The delay was such that it seems the 3rd place team did not get their certificate.
In the following confusion I did not record the name of the team and I do have the certificate so if anyone can advise who was the team leader I would like contact details please. (Andy Tribe:  penunga@gmail.com )

If anyone attending managed to take any photographs it would be great if some images could be forwarded to Gina Marder to submit for the Newsletter.
Any info for the Newsletter can be forwarded to Gina via email to
