A faulty USB Charger for Mobile phones, Laptops etc. Can kill you !
Recently, April 2014, a young mother was killed listening to her mobile phone whilst it was connected to a charger and her laptop. The charger was connected to the mains.
This charger did not have proof of "Certified Safe" label as is required in most countries.

Scary stuff. This is not the first fatality of this nature. To be safe it would be wise to not use a mobile phone or laptop whilst it is connected via a charger to a mains plug.

Umgeni Steam Railway Trip
A trip to Inchanga Railway station from the Stoker's Arms (Kloof Station) was a thoroughly enjoyable event. Click here to visit the Umgeni Steam Railway web site. Feedback and images will be posted once material has been collected. The event was something quite special and thanks go to Charlie from the British Cultural and Heritage Association for the professional way the event was coordinated.
There was much merriment and of all those who embarked from Kloof no one missed the return Journey. Many thanks to the employees from the Umgeni Steam Railway who offered a service second to none. Thanks to Pam von Aulock for submitting the collage of images on this post.

This has been our last chance to say farewell to Brenda Langton from BCHA, who is returning to the UK for good, in mid July. This is especially poignant, because members from ANZA and the Cowies Hills LIONS, with which Brenda has had a close relationship, as well as the New Germany Bowling Club, where her husband Dave played bowls in the last two years of his life.
Tongue in Cheek - Are Trains male or female?
TRAINS: Definitely male... because they always use the same old lines for picking up people.
More general images appear on the "RECENT EVENT PICTURES" page.

ANZAC DAY vs SHARKS RUGBY
Read carefully the following message from Dave Brosnihan on how to avoid any risk of having to pay for parking!
"Hi Guys,
We have a problem?
The Sharks game is at the same time and the metro Police are
blocking a lot of the roads for tomorrow service at NMR.
NMR sell the parking to all people to go to Rugby.
The best route is to go up north M4 from Argyle road
to the slip road to Country Club and NMR and I will be at the gate to let
you through at no charge , then go left and then right and go and park at
the back of NMR Buildings .
I have organised that if you have to come from the north you
can come down NMR ( now another name?) from the Umgeni side and go down the
cycle marked area and say you are going to the ANZAC Day
service,> the police will let you through to go to the turn to the
left to NMR/Country Club ( Natal Mounted Rifles) and then right.
